Yamaha DX21

This time, a fairly typical service of a vintage instrument. The following were replaced:

  • all electrolytic capacitors in the audio path, including bipolar ones (the instrument had a quiet and distorted output sound),
  • all control panel switches (50 pieces),
  • 3 slider potentiometers,
  • the leaking LCD display with a replacement unit featuring built-in backlighting.

In addition, the instrument was thoroughly cleaned both inside and out. An ultrasonic cleaner was used for the control elements (plastic caps).
