Roland JP-8000
This is another Roland JP-8000 in my workshop. This time, I performed a fairly typical service on this classic. Seven worn axial potentiometers (including two with a center detent), one stereo audio potentiometer, a CR2032 RAM backup battery, and all 43 control panel microswitches were replaced. The instrument’s keyboard, knobs, and sliders were also cleaned, along with a dirty LCD display. The pitch bender and ribbon field were also calibrated.
