N0vation X-station 61
This time it’s quite a simple repair — provided you have the right service equipment. The task was to replace the display in a rather unusual synthesizer, the Novation X-Station 61. The original display had lost contrast and also showed stains caused by a spill of some unknown liquid. It was replaced with a compatible equivalent, which are fairly easy to find on the market, since in this case we’re dealing with a 2×16 character alphanumeric display driven by a Hitachi HD44780-compatible controller.
